Whenever we see images of earth, it’s usually very country heavy focused, we mentally point at the picture and note which country we live in.

So when we hear facts like the earth is 71% water we forget just how large that percentage is because of all the crowding from the countries.

The picture above is a nemo-point/pacific ocean centered picture of the earth. Besides seeing New Zeland poking out at the ends there this picture shows just how little of the earth is covered by land, and just how large the pacific ocean is.
